How to enter

Online entry via the official race website. Overseas runners can enter the general or sub-elite categories; sub-elite overseas applicants must email proof of their qualifying time record to the entry office after registering.

What you need

Must be 18 or older on race day and able to finish within 2:40. Sub-elite overseas runners need a World Athletics Label Road Race official record of sub-1:14:00 (men) or sub-1:40:00 (women) from May 2024–April 2026. Student team entry is open to domestic (Japan) participants only.

Payment

Entry fee is ¥13,200 (including tax and handling fee), plus a 6% payment processing fee. Overseas runners may pay by credit card, PayPal, Alipay, or UnionPay.

Bib pickup

In-person bib pickup (runner reception) is required at MUFG Stadium (National Stadium) on October 16 (Fri) or October 17 (Sat). The runner must attend in person; no race-day pickup is available.

Entry period

General/sub-elite entry runs from May 26 to June 9, 2026. Charity runner entry opened April 15, 2026. Elite/para-athlete entry begins in early July 2026.

Notes

Bib pickup requires the runner's personal attendance on the pre-race days, which means travelling to Tokyo before race day is essential. Lottery results are announced via RUNNET. The race starts and finishes at MUFG Stadium (National Stadium).
