How to enter

Online entry via RUNNET (PC or smartphone). A qualifying time record must be uploaded to your RUNNET profile by the deadline.

What you need

Runners must be aged 19 or over on race day and have completed a marathon in sub-4:00:00 or half marathon in sub-1:33:00 at an officially certified race since December 1, 2022. A record certificate must be uploaded via RUNNET.

Payment

Entry fee is ¥13,000, payable by the payment deadline after the lottery result (deadline: August 25, 2026).

Bib pickup

Race bibs and timing chips are mailed to participants about two weeks before the race. On race day (December 6, 7:30–10:00), runners check in at the venue using a QR code.

Entry period

General entry: June 22 – July 6, 2026. Lottery results announced August 17, 2026.

Notes

General entries are decided by lottery (3,000 places). An award (国際親善神徳賞) exists for outstanding overseas runners. Some entry categories (Yamaguchi prefecture resident, Hofu resident) require Japanese residency registration and are not open to overseas runners. The elite category requires JAAF registration.
