How to enter

Entry is via RUNNET (online), but in-person bib pickup is mandatory and cannot be done by proxy, making overseas entry effectively impractical.

What you need

Runners must meet qualifying time standards (men sub-3:30, women sub-4:00 gross or net) for athlete entry, or enter the general lottery. A Japanese address and phone number are requested in the qualification form. Proof of qualifying time from a certified race is required for athlete entry.

Payment

Entry fee is ¥12,900 plus handling fees, paid via RUNNET.

Bib pickup

In-person pickup is required on 6 February 2027 (13:00–18:00) or race morning 7 February (7:30–9:00) at Shiroyama Park. No proxy pickup is permitted; the registered runner must attend in person.

Entry period

Athlete entry (first-come, 3,000 places): 13–31 July 2026. General entry (lottery): 3–20 August 2026.

On race day

The site has an English page link, but no specific overseas runner support services are mentioned.

Notes

Because bib pickup is strictly in-person with no proxy allowed, overseas runners would need to travel to Matsuyama the day before or morning of the race to collect their bib. The qualification screening form also requests a Japanese postal code, address, and daytime phone number.
